Unicorn VPN

Privacy Policy

Effective 23 October 2026

Unicorn VPN (“the app”) is developed and operated by Robert Tadevosyan, the developer of Unicorn VPN on Google Play. Contact: support@getunicornvpn.com.

What the app does

The app creates an encrypted tunnel from your device to a server we rent in the United States or in Europe and routes your internet traffic through it.

Where the service is offered

Unicorn VPN is offered only in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and Europe (EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland). It is not available in and does not work from Russia, Belarus or other countries outside this list; the app checks the region before creating a connection.

What we do not collect

We do not log the websites you visit, the apps you use, your DNS queries or the content of your traffic. Our servers run with access logging disabled.

What we process and why

DataPurposeKept for
A random account identifier (anonymous sign-in) and a random connection identifierGiving your device its own tunnel credentials and removing them on requestUntil you delete your data, or 12 months of inactivity
Traffic counters per connection identifier (bytes sent and received)Fair-use limits, abuse prevention, capacity planningReset monthly
The country derived from your IP address when you request a connection profileChecking that the service is offered in your region and choosing a nearby server. The IP address itself is not stored12 months
Crash reports and basic device information (model, Android version, app version)Fixing bugs (Firebase Crashlytics)90 days
Usage statistics (screens opened, connection success or failure, ad impressions)Improving the app (Firebase Analytics)14 months

The app's own traffic (ads, analytics, crash reports and the connection to our backend) is sent outside the tunnel, over your normal connection.

Advertising and consent

Ads are provided by Google AdMob. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and in US states with privacy laws you can opt out. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings → Ad privacy options. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Your choices and rights

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Performance of a contract (providing the tunnel); legitimate interests (abuse prevention, fixing crashes); consent (personalised ads and, where required, analytics).

Sharing and requests from authorities

We share data only with Google (Firebase and AdMob) as described above and with the providers that host our servers, who process traffic only to carry it. We do not sell personal data. If we receive a lawful request, we can only provide what we hold: random identifiers and traffic counters.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We will post changes on this page and update the effective date.
